Well, after a good slab of inactivity, I'm just writing to say that I am alive and well (more or less) and ready to do... something creative, at any rate. School kind of took over in that last half of the year and was a bit demanding, but I have vanquished the high school to its proper place and was accepted to do Communication Design at RMIT! Which is exciting, because it's a great school and I will just be able to do lots of fun, creative things like not sitting around studying Japanese polite verb endings. Which was this year. Anyway! I hope things will be more fun, and less sooper srs bsns, both life-wise and art/design wise. I removed about three-quarters of the people I watch, so it should leave me a bit freer to do things here instead of constantly feeling guilty about not looking at people's stuff because so much of it comes in every day.
If it's any indication, my Russian friend says that it's traditionally thought that the way you celebrate the new year sets the tone for how it's going to be - which, in my case, is chatting with good friends, missing the countdown, getting onto packed public transport, being lost and trying to find an open supermarket at two in the morning (there wasn't one). Socially satisfying but disorganised? I can live with that.
Margo, Zap and Starcre8er - the people in my last journal (well, only journal. I baleeted the rest because they were hella embarrassing). I haven't forgotten about you! Well, I did. But I remembered you! And I will get around to it soon, hopefully. I think I actually did the sketches ages ago but lost them, so you'll be getting fresh new ones.
Speaking of art - because I've been a bit slack on the whole making stuff front, and then even worse on the putting it online front, I'll probably be dumping some stuff over the coming weeks slowly, so no-one gets deluged. It's not a lot, and I'll probably combine things. I'm not drawing a huuuuuge amount at the moment - writing more - but there should be some things coming through in a bit.
Also my speakers just yelled, "We had sex on the beach" at me. Awkward.
